Composition

Tonight I went for night photography - flags and moons are thankful objects.

However, I really liked this composition, but I couldn't not get the buildings in sight with my combination of lens. Getting the flag on the other side wasn't possible as well, I couldn't move much further to the right.

Off course, I can crop the buildings off. However, due to doing this, the flag is a litlle out of the "interest area". I think composition is better in the original one... or not?

What do you think and what do you think in general about these pics?

I came to a satisfactory solution by first rotating the image a bit before cropping it - that way I could get the flag higher up in the image and still not have the buildings in there! Due to it being shot upwards, you hardly notice it's in a weird direction. Only think now is the little "pluck" in the bottom-right corner but I can live with it.

Any suggestions?

I don't like any of them, I think they lack an interesting subject IMO. I do like the sky however. It's got a cool gradient of color. I say get a better subject. Also not a fan of the len flare around the moon. Again this is the critique section so this is only my opinion.

Not doing anything for me. It might have been more interesting if you rotated the camera to portrait position.

I shoot photos.

The last one was definitely an improvement on the picture, but it still didn't do much for me. It might be because the flag is the subject, and its blurry from the movement. My eyes were drawn to the flag, but then I didn't really want to actually look at it.

Yea, the composition of both of these is not good. There's also no subject.

^Repeat of the above, except the half-tree at the bottom is just goddamn distracting. again, repeating, but portrait mode would have done better/

You should walk around the area end experiment more. Im sure there are much better compositions to be seen.

Definitely improved with the crop though.
