Okay I have posted my intro on another page and now here is my first collection of UE photos. I am a photographer and an avid explorer of urban decay in all of its forms. I and two of my best friends/ brothers have joined together and share our love of Urban Exploration. This is the old King Candy building in Fort Worth Texas. I dont have a lot of history on the location yet but I do know that a cold case file is still existing for the death of a worker on the loading dock. If anyone else has info on the location feel free to let me in on what you know.
Its 4 floors of old rooms rusting machinery and crumbling concrete. Absolutely love the location and look forward to another trip.

I love these old fans. They remind me of the days when your Mama said "Don't touch that, you'll cut yer finger off" and meant it. Not that I'd consider it as a baby shower gift, mind you... sure, we've gotten soft, but that doesn't mean we should *try* to maim our kids.

I love those fans too. I have one sitting on my desk that I rescued from my old apartment dumpster. It was missing the power cord but with some help from my dad I got it wired back up and running. It's almost too powerful and blows all my papers around the room when I turn it on "low".

I had one of those in my room when I was a kid... It started to vibrate off the desk one night and I went to fix it.. and when I grabbed it, my thumb went in and yeah.. it was a trip to the ER that night.

Neat place.. I'm having a hard time thinking of where this is for some reason. I was trying to figure it out from the picture you posted where the other buildings are visible.

Just east of downtown. When he was in there this last time, he ran into a group of scavengers with bolt cutters and sawzalls stealing metal out of the place. Wish I had made it out there with him.

Yeah, he talked to them for a bit, then got the hell out of there. They didn't seem to care there was someone else there.

Alright everyone as a friend of mine mentioned I had a chance to hit the king candy again and unfortunately while there I and the two people with me came across a couple of scavengers that were in the process of stealing some metal and what not. I was up a floor from a friend and in a room. Heard a lot of noise and so I thinking my friend had gotten hurt came out to see what was going on. I then came across this man and women with bolt cutters tearing things apart...at the same time my friend came upstairs thinking I had gotten hurt and so here we were four people looking at one another. We all could see what was going on but to avoid any problems myself and my two friends made vague remarks regrouped and decided it was time to go. Out we went and that was that. Has anyone else had this happen before and what did you do. Well here a couple more pics from this trip but did not have alot of time to look around.

I came across 2 guys and a woman at the old cotton gin in Fort Worth. They were right behind me, the only thing separating us was a thin metal wall. The person with me motioned to me from somewhere else that someone was behind me.. and about to walk around and see me. I moved around one side of the wall as they walked past the other end in the opposite direction. Once I left that area, regroup with my partner we decided to walk past the room they were in on the outside to let them think that they are seeing us first. That gives them the chance to hide or whatever.. and not be surprised by us. So we walked by.. they stopped what they were doing, looked at us.. then continued what they were doing. We didn't act bothered by them, just gave them the nod, and kept walking. They didn't seem to care at that point. I guess it depends on who you come across though, and their mood.

Yeah this was my first time to find someone in the location I was looking at but i got worried that someone would call the cops for the noise since there are working businesses in the area and last thing we want is for the cops to come out and cause problems...
