Hey, it's bacon time in the Cliff!

Dallas Doesn't Want Wild Pigs to Make Kiest Park Home

Animals may enjoy a day at the park, but one in Oak Cliff doesn't want any porky visitors.

Dallas is attempting to trap wild pigs that are roaming the outskirts of Kiest Park. The Friends of Oak Cliff Parks notified the city about the animals, and Animal Control has enlisted the services of a professional animal trapper.

"It was a rumor at first, but Animal Control was out here quite a bit, and people have seen signs," said James Thomas, director of the park's tennis courts. "So the trapper saw it, and evidently he feels it's for real."

Thomas said people have found droppings from the pigs.

He said he hopes the trapper will be able to catch animals in the 4-by-4-by-8 steep [sic] trap set 75 feet away from the tennis courts.

"Hopefully, he will because they can be kind of vicious I've heard," Thomas said.

I don't see the reason for Animal Control to hire a professional trapper, though. Just tell one of the local gang bangers that a feral pig looked at his girl, and things will take care of themselves, right?

no offense to Barry since he worked animal b.i.t.d. control but the dumbfuckers they (Dallas) send out to trap the urban coyotes around here are really dumb, hence the new name by which they shall be known; dumbfuckers.

they set the traps where all the local joggers and power walking babes go, then post signs all over warning everyone of traps then dont put any kind of bait in the trap!

despite all their dumbfuckedness they have trapped and executed more than 2 dozen 'yotes from the WR Lake area since 2008

Nice use of the english language man, "dumbfuckedness" That is seriously a great word, and I laughed pretty hard when I read that. That's right up there with other greats like, "Badassery" or, "Fanfuckintastic" I commend your use the language sir, people like you make our language even more colorful than it already was.
