Seeing as you're on the critique board, would you mind posting the unedited files for comparison?

I love that first shot! It's got a very nice antique feel to it, though I would like to see the same shot in colour.

You could convert them to JPEG without doing any alterations using ViewNX or whatever software came with your Nikon.

The first shot I like both in colour and how you edited it in Sepia.

The second shot, I prefer the unedited version. I think the saturation is a wee bit much.

And third, I think this photo is a snapshot and not artistic in any way, just a photo of a shack with no creative perspective. I tend to get the shapshots out of the way first so I can keep a record of the entire location, and I later do the artistic stuff. Lately I haven't been doing too much artistic though.

Keep at it, you're getting there!

I'd honestly tone down the saturation pumping a bit, and much as I'm not one to like removing color from digital files or making things sepia toned (I often see it as a crutch to avoid dealing with the complexity of color/light/composition) I have to say, the shack photo does look pretty nice in the edit, especially with how the sky turned out.

I'd have given your third photo more space at the top to breathe, the sky is barely peeking through and drawing my eye up to the sliver up there.

Keep it up- what are you using to process your RAWs?
