And it sucks that they can sting multiple times.

Have you ever seen them chase people? One time I watched my friend run at least 100 yards with one chasing about 10 feet behind him the whole way. It was crazy!

It has been said that bees can follow you for up to 8 miles or some shit, and I know I can't run that far!

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't pepper spray work on wasps and bees? Assuming you didn't spray yourself or your buddy in the process. LOL

yes, it absolutely does, but I don't normally carry a firetruck with foam with me when I explore.. Might need to tho.. LOL At least I would have someone to come get me should I get stuck.

for the benefit of the outdoors exploring group

those skinny waisted wasps buzzing around old bldgs (or other sources of decayed wood) with the yellow and brown striped abdomens we commonly refer to as "yellow jackets" are actually paper wasps and their hurts like Hell

actual yellow jackets are thicker larger somewhat slower and if you get one up your shirt as I did at 75 80mph you will know the difference in a hurry. felt like I was being burned with a hot poker even after beating the shit out of it I got stung several more times and where ever it hit me left a scar

this is your yellow jacket (wasp on steroids) any questions

A friend of mine threw something at a yellow jacket nest and they chased him around the corner!!

This thread has taken a creepy turn.
