The title is a bit of a lie, we didn't actually go into the main buildings, the whole criminal trespassing thing didn't sound to appealing, so about a month ago we ventured into the woods and looked at some the outbuildings in the woods surrounding the factory. There was more but my camera died.

These two are on the hill on the opposite side of the road from the main buildings.

I took this from the bike path, there are actually three or foue of these.

You can see the above few here from the asphalt bike path, the rest are in the deep woods at the top of the hill from the same as the main buildings.

Ok, my question to you is, WHAT THE HELL are these cages for? They look like something out of a horror movie & there are 3 or 4 of them, all with basically the same interiors.

This fence is your worst enemy, it winds throughout the entire area on both sides of the road, luckily it's broken up in wuite a few areas.

Yeah, that's why I didn't even bother, the only way out of the ruins besides back to the bike trail is under the abandoned portion of the through the concrete river channel. That place is long beyond ue-able

So that's why there was spent Simunition in there.

Climbing the Shot Tower was a mofo, but worth it.

I heard there's an old man who looks after the place and randomly walks in to feed his cats, also, massive holes.

For as much security as the main buildings have you'd think they would put a board over the entrance (read: gaping hole) on the parking lot side of the road.

EDIT: and before I forget, has anybody been down the two pathways that are on the s-curves on the other side of the river? I know there is at least one concrete structure on that side that you can see when the leaves are gone.

Yeah, that looked like part of an old bridge to me.

I spent a couple of hours in `99 scouting it out. Even then, it was still being utilized. Didn't they film a horror movie there?

Supposedly, called ghost factory. Outside of spotty mentions from firends and a small blurb on Forgotten ohio i've never been able to see it or find a website for its production company.

The movie apparently isn't finished yet. After about 30 minutes of searching, I found a "MySpace" profile for the director/producer/somebody. He states that he is in the last phases of editing, but he hasn't logged on since August 09. His profile can be found: http://www.myspace.com/tupacreveleation

I payed a visit to this site last Sunday & unfortunately couldn't get in night or day, it was active, had land surveyors there, & a forklift moving around the back - I rode my bike along the trail & actually as surprised to see houses, I also got some pics of a abandoned house along the trail.
