Having Turkey Vultures fly off the top of the cell tower when you are 120' up = good sign.

Like others have said, go in right behind someone else and be busy with a cell phone or conversing with your fellow explorers about whatever. Hatches locked with padlocks are usually help in by two 1/2 hex bolts. Take out the bolts and you bypass the lock. Don't take the bolts or the tool you use to take them out with you onto the roof. If you don't have tools on you, you can claim that you found the hatch unlocked. Door access to roofs is more difficult. Sometimes you get lucky with a loose lock. Doors are usually alarmed, but if its on the inside you can get around that.

Remember: If you want it bad enough, any rooftop is possible.

Oh and lock up when you leave, so you don't ruin a rooftop for the rest of us.
