| | | Do you guys bring it? Or has it been found to be to much of a nuisance? Also What are peoples views on spilling ass in an abandonment? I am sure this topic must have been brought up before, but times change and so do people on forums so I would like some fresh opinions.

| | | Seriously, how often do you poop? If you have to drop a load, do it somewhere that's already ruined. If you're in a pristine site, hold it or leave.

I poop daily because I eat properly, and with the added adrenaline speeding up my metabolism while exploring it is almost a certainty that every time I go exploring I will poop. I generally just use the toilets that are still there.

Then you just answered your own question. If you think you will need TP, then take it with you as most abandonments do not furnish it. And as AnAppleSnail said, find some where non-obtrusive.

Wooow, TMI. Anyway, I agree with bonnie&clyde that it's a good idea to bring a roll, whether you think you'll need it for its main purpose or not. It's useful for things other than bathroom-related activities; I'll bring some (or a travel pack of tissues because they're easy to squeeze in my pocket) and use it for cleaning up cuts or wiping my glasses, whatever. Just toss a roll in your bag and you're good to go.

| | | Thanks for the imput everyone. I just have one more question. Seeing as how I will be bringing toilet paper from now on, what do you recommend I do as far as toilet paper disposal? I mean I don't really want to cary around soiled toilet paper all day with me. Is it littering to leave it there? If caught could I also be fined for the littering as well? Pooping is also littering. wtf man, use some common sense or ask a park ranger. No, ask a city policeman. "If I REALLY REALLY can't hold it when I'm trespassing, is it littering to leave poop AND tp, or is everything fine as long as I bag the TP out with me?"

Pooping is organic and could be considered fertilizer, I hardly consider that littering. I am sorry If I annoyed you with my questions. I am new here and just wanted some advice from some veterans.

Hey, no problem. Some mornings I don't wake up proper till dinner. Let me get caffeine in me and see if that helps my overall pleasantness ;)

Human poop can't be used as fertalizer because it is too acidic. Most abandonments have latrines, just use it and leave the paper in there. Every place I've ever been has got an already used toilet, most in better shape than the ones at the local mall. BTW are we really having this discussion?..

| | Re: Toilet paper? <Reply # 12 on 8/22/2009 5:54 PM >
| | | I usually have a roll of toilet paper or something equivalent in my car, but I would never take a dump in an abandoned building, now matter how ruined it was. The world is full of bushes and other suitable places where you can relieve yourself without spoiling the location.

| | | Well, if your in a more rural location, maybe bring Bio-Degradable Toilet paper, and if nature calls, if its convenient, maybe try and get into the woods or somewhere you can dig a small hole and do your business in there, and bury it afterwards. As for more urban Locations, Depending on the situation there might be a gas station nearby or somewhere you can use the facilities. I guess it all boils down to the situation, but for the most part i assume you could just go before you head out to your location, or just hold it in. But i guess for those "emergencies" i might understand the need to go on location. Hell, you might not be the first to do it there if squatters have stayed there before. I personally think it should be avoided whenever possible, but Sh*t happens (no pun intended) [last edit 8/23/2009 2:41 AM by Skewp - edited 1 times]

| | | You might want to consider wearing either Depends or a colostomy bag. Then you can keep exploring while you poop and take it with you on your person.

| | | Hah damn. I had thought about it too but seriously id say take a dump outside or in one of the toilets on site if there are any. And if not take a wally world plastic bag and throw some TP in it, that way your ready for the heat of the moment if you really gotta go that bad. And avoid bean burritos and hot wings the night before you go UE'ing. Common sense is king here.
