Here are some of my shots from today on the Rambo Creek "freeway" as Kowalski once named it. I'm still new to drain photography, so any comments/criticism/atomic bombs please drop 'em here. All shot with Nikon D40 with 18-55mm and polarizer.

Thanks!

#2 & #3 look awesome, but the shadows are bit strained in #1 & #4. Perhaps you were trying to capture some mystery (And it may be my tiny laptop screen being possibly mis-calibrated), and you did so indeed, but I find my eyes a bit...worn trying to pick out detail in #1 & #4. Other than that, well done mate!

The lighting in that silhouette is great, especially the headlamp, though with all of these, I'd kind of like to see what the colour versions look like.

The first shot is the best, the second shot is cooked and uneven light painting (is that light painting?) The third is cool if a little boring. It's a portrait more than an art shot (like the rest of the set). The last shot has a weird composition, I think; my eye goes to that middle pillar, but there's nothing to look at, then I bounce between that negative space and the floor looking for something to focus on... some kind of composition or play of space. I think if you took out the negative space (all that black stuff to the right of the pillar) by moving over a little before taking the shot, it would be much improved.

I just got the filter and was using it for the first time. I was using it to get shots of the sky reflecting in the water. Turns out I didn't take it off for the underground stuff.
