Supercollider vent shaft question

Why is it that one of these is so close to HWY 287 in Waxahachie? Right by the Ellis County SPCA at 2570 FM 878. About 2 miles off 287 and 8 miles from the East Campus road by Palmer.

I don't know, but can you rappel down it?

So I take it that one of the tunnels does not run underneath this particular vent shaft cover thingy? I mean, why would they have dug so close to Waxahachie? This damn thing is way off the path of where the SSC map shows the tunnel around Waxahachie was supposed to be. Just sitting in a field about 50 yards south of the Ellis County SPCA and 30 yards from the road. You can see it on google map using that little street guy. I havent noticed another one around it. What the freak is it doing there? Perhaps the SPCA knows something....

Well there was a lot of activity all around that East Campus Road. Why the hell is this thing so far off the tunnel path. Most vent shafts I have seen are over on the main campus side. Ive been through a field that had a line of a half dozen of so of them running through it. But those are all along the path of the tunnel or the main campus. This one by the SPCA is very strange.

That's how I'd hide my bunker - put it next to a non-target research facility and camouflage my snorkel like theirs.
