Cheers.

Rumors about a really old observatory in the woods outside a small town in southern Sweden got me interested. After some research on the internet and map-studying i thought i knew where to go and took a road-trip.
After parking my car along a small road and walking into the woods on an even smaller road i thought to myself that this might be a disaster. Driving for four hours just to walk into a forest on a hunch felt a bit stupid but when i reached an old road-sign i realised i was on the right road. First of all, you dont put road-signs on roads like this, second of all the roads name was "Vintergatan", translating into "Milky Way".

That is an ultimate find. Looking for something based on a rumor. I like the observatory pictures, made of wood, just like the floor (what is still intact).

Very neat man!

I take it that there isn't that much in Sweden if you're driving 4 hours for things like this? (I only say this because I drive 4 hours for stuff like this where I'm located in Canada).

wow, that's an amazing find. #5 reminds me of the "observatory" dome built by the Mayans in Chichen Itza. It looks like its been abandoned for at least 10 years and built about 20-30 years before that though.
