| | Magic Springs Amusement Park, Arkansas < on 5/30/2009 9:44 PM >
| | | These were taken during the 1995-1998 time period. It's December 25th. This first set is general park photos. The park closed in 1995, but reopened in 2000, but reopened after pretty much being bull dozed, and starting all over. Out of all the buildings in the park only 4 could be salvaged, with extreme rebuilding. The only ride that is still standing is the The Arkansas Twister--it has been restored.More to come. | | | The Sky Hook was originaly built in 1910, Then in 1958 it it was converted into a fair ride. It's still december 25th. Within a year it would be cut to scap because because of neglect. I rode it in 1993, and it was VERY noticeable it was on its last leg. More to come.

| | | The Arkansas Twister was originally built in 1978, and then moved to Magic Springs in 1992. At the time it was the largest rollercoaster every moved board by board, and they didn't cut, or rearange anything. I know this because I know one of the former investors of the "old" park. I could write a history of that place.

| | | When the park reopened it was the coolest thing since hot dogs. I know why they got rid of what they did. I should know because I took photos for the park, and the American Coaster Enthuisiast. I had "Walk Backs" in restricted areas-with a camera. I also have pictures of a coaster being built, theres one of me standing in the track with a coaster train behind me, hehehe. All with permission. Later from Rising Star, Ya'll.

| | | Very nice. I've seen the place, when it was running, but never went in.
