| | | The Skull Thread (Potentially amazing!) < on 3/20/2009 5:34 PM >
| | | As some of you older members may remember, ages ago a thread was posted from a user known as YellowSnow. He was confronting the ethics that state you shouldn't take things from sites.. but looking past that, he asked UER the following: He asked a hypothetical that was basically asking how to get a skull from the Catacombs in Paris, back to his home in America.. and what the legal repercussions would be if he were caught. Now naturally, most users on UER uphold the UER Ethics Directive of 2003, which clearly states that the taking of artifacts from sites is strictly prohibited, punishable by scolding. As a direct result of this, UER let him know that they found his decision distasteful, and reacted in a rational and appropriate matter.. (mad flamz0rz) essentially tearing him apart for two pages before a lock. This thread lived on in our hearts throughout the years.. until now. (For those of you who need a refresher: http://www.uer.ca/...d=45166&currpage=1 As fate would have it, in a discussion regarding skulls that appeared on a private board.. one user in question (who will remain Anonymous), happened to post a picture of a long thread on 4chan's infamous /b/ forum.. an image board where users can post images anonymously. When this image was posted, I was reminded of this aforementioned thread.. which led me to discover the following: Now, on the exact same day, a mere 10 minutes apart from the posting of the Skull thread on UER (please note the timezone change between the two servers) a thread appeared on said image board. In this thread, an anonymous user posted a photo of the generic catacomb skulls.. he stated that he had taken a skull from the Catacombs, and was asking how he could get it back to the US..
Okay, so pretty cool comparison, Bryan.. but Where's the Beef?
Well, faithful reader.. I'll let this image speak for itself. JESUS CHRIST NOT SAFE FOR WORK CLICK (Scroll to the bottom)
For those of you who are fortunate enough to be stuck at work, or don't want the burden on your soul, this is what happened. I will paraphrase. YellowSnow. Fucked. A. Skull.
dsankt can be quoted as stating the following:
hahahaha epic fucking troll Best I've seen in ages, I tip my skull to you. |
You were right, dsankt. So very.. very right. [Edit: Link changed. Sorry LM/Alias] [last edit 3/20/2009 9:22 PM by Bryan - edited 4 times]

That's punny.
And at last I resolved to scale that tower, fall though I might; Since it was better to glimpse the sky and perish, Than to live without ever beholding the day. |
