Hey all,

I just got my new Seagull TLR. Its in pretty good shape, a few dents but its clean. But.. I have the back open. Now im thinking that light should not bve coming through the bottom lens. And when I release the shutter button, it does not feel like anything is happening. Any help?

Thanks

Looks like your shutter is seized / locked open. That's not going to work very well!!

You need to try to free it off, but also I'd check the screw-hole where a remote lead goes in (if fitted) - once my Lubitel did the same thing and a part of the remote lead had actually got stuck in there; keeping the shutter open... Cleared it out and it worked fine.

Hope it's something simple!

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Seagull's are not known for the outstanding quality I'm afraid. You are better off with a Rolleicord or Yashica.

A 1000 days of sorrow can disapear in a split second, it takes only one person to make it happen.
