Please list the below three shots in the order of what you think is best to worst.

They're from an old factory with an office on the 2nd floor. These go up to the office.

A.)

B.)

C.)

My order is as posted: A, B, C. Just curious what others think.

Thanks.

A would be the strongest if not blown out composition wise. I like it.

B could have benefited from a few steps back. But I like it.

C all the lines lean to the right a little, because of my OCD now I have to go wash my hands 5 times, spin in circles while singing the hebrew alphabet and do the chicken dance backwards.

My order would be the same. Love ya Trent.

THanks man. Yah, I wish I could have been back farther for B and C, but the area was quite cramped.

B is the best but ya I wish it could have been a step or two back to the left. It really shows the angel of the old type staircase.

C because it captures the landing.

A has a lot going for it but blown out and maybe too much going on there.

But hey I love stairs and they are all wonderful just because they are stairs .

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

A ~ i don't care much for the blown out window, for i think you made it part of what's happening in this photo. nice comp. I think this is the best one.

B ~ as said before, a little more to the left and/or back would be nice.

C ~ here I find the blown out part annoying - I think i know what you where going for, but it didn't came out that way(?)

B, C, A.

Nothing substantive to add which would not be repeating the above comments.

B- i like how this one was composed, makes me wonder what is up those stairs.

C

A-only cuz the blown out window doesn't really do it for me.

A, B, C.

I don't think the blow-out in A is necessarily bad - it gives the shot some character, at least, that wouldn't otherwise be there. I like the composition of A best, though.

B seems to have too much of the stairs cut off on the left. I'd have moved the supporting beam across the frame, even if it meant cutting off the bottom of the balustrade.

C looks to me like it's supposed to be all straight-on angles, but everything's slightly off. So, chalk my lack of preference for this one down to be being a pedant. C also doesn't seem to have a clear focus, at least in comparison to the other two.

Hope that's useful

B - Best composition, gives the stairs the feel of vertical height. I also liked the fact that it's a cropped composition.
C - I think if you took several steps backwards, the composition would be better.
A - The glare from the window takes away from the staircase.

B, A, C.

The angle on C throws it off for me.
A is a little blown out, but I'm not always bothered by that.

A, A, A.

[rant]
People on the internets tend to be deathly afraid of what they always assume to be 'blown-out' highlights - this isn't a case of blown-out highlights. This is use of white/bright light, I'm assuming intentionally, and if not, it's a happy accident. Blown-out highlights are the result a mistaken overexposure, such as the white post closest to the window in B and C, where it looks like you have pretty close to 255/255/255 rgb values. Also in C, where there's just a bit of the window frame showing, I would consider that chunk of window frame to be blown out, since without the window it's out of context and looks like a mistake. Photo A though, is good - I would maybe darken the shadows where the carpet's folded over in the corner of the floor at the bottom of the staircase, but that's about it. Don't fear white, it looks fine in print when done right (see any of mustard gas party's posts for good examples). And it looks fine on screen for that matter, unless you're dealing with a bunch of flickr addicts who mistake a fear of total white for technical proficiency.
[/rant]

Okay, time for some coffee.

yep.
