I was there on holiday with my GF last year. It has an amazing number of abandoned buildings, however, I didn't go into any of them, both because we had only 3 days in bangkok and I wanted to see the really amazing things first (though we managed to avoid the biggest tourist traps) and I didn't know how the thai police would react.

| | | | Spotted several abandoned skyscrapers, but missed this boat. The buildings look pretty dull, though, because it appears that there's just an empty concrete shell.
When I walked past the Sathorn Unique Tower, it was guarded.
There's also the abandoned Russian embassy. Google it.

| | | | Shame I didn't go there them. When we were there, my hotel was on Si Lom 16, while the Sathorn is on si lom 12. I had a view on it from our hotel room (forgot the name) and thought it looked dilapitated...
