 Come and get me...

| | | Took a day trip out west...I know a lot of Oklahoma's pictures come from Northeast, so I went the opposite way. Let me know what you think! I'm no photographer, but I try.

| | | Thanks guys! The bus was a really cool find. Here are some additional shots of it. I tried to fulfill the 10 pic limit, but here I go breaking it already. The inside was pretty much gutted out..that was the shame of the day.

Was the floor caved in when you were there? It looked like it had been that way a while.

| | | That house in your first group of shots looks so fragile, almost like the wind could knock it down. How old was that building?

| | | Nice shots, the register is great. SW OK is one of my favorite stomping grounds. There's some good stuff to be had there for sure. Hope to see more of what you find.

I'm not quite sure. I found, along with the homework lying on the top floor, a John Deere Catalog from '65, so that could indicate when it was left, however I'm not sure when it was built. I'll have to check into it. As for its stability, the stairs and upper floor were very sturdy. I was extremely surprised.

I loved the country down there. Your location shows you're from that area. The next time I creep that way I'll PM you...we should hook up and go exploring together. I could use an experienced guide.

You bet. I'm down in Lubbock much of the time, but if I'm not around I'll point you towards some cool stuff.

Yeah, it was caved in November of '07 when I was there; I think it's been that way for a long while. The interstate came through there sometime in the 60's I believe, and that would pretty much have been the end for Kobel's, if not even before that.
