no, that's not the entrance. The entrance are just several stairs going down from the cemetary.
They want to renovate it since the cemetary itself is still in use and lies on top of the crypt. They already have to make precautions to prevent collapsing... When I was there the two last times, some pieces of the ceiling already came down... pieces of concrete etc. btw: the original plan was to start renovations in 2006.

| | | It's collapsing because of water going in concrete structure, when it's becoming ice, concrete has fissures. I don't know why they want to renovate this. It's unusual because there's a lack of money when they want to renovate roads...

| | | I felt really guilty when i went here, we practically has to walk through a funeral precession, then sneak in!. There's a chance that the money to renovate is raised privately?. Mostly from the costs from being buried there. That money is usually kept for the upkeep and maintenance of the site. Usually anyway. A similar thing is happening at a certain crypt here. One of the supporting pillars crumbled away due to water/ice damage and was at serious risk of bringing the roof down. I believe its been restored now. Ace pics its such a surreal set of tunnels to visit
