| | | I would like to introduce you to dixie beer. This place was huge and so different than any other building I have ever been in. This place use to bottle Dixied Beer along with a couple other local beers. They closed down and the place shifted owners a couple of times but I belive somehow it got twisted up with KB drugs and went out of business when KB shut down. But don't hold me to that, thats just what I heard. The bums or kids or vandals have connected every inch of this place with ladders and tunnels, it was like a Prince of Persia video game or something. The tunnels for the most part was pretty easy to cut in some rooms because the rooms were like a giant styrofoam ice chest. If you look at one of the pics of the walls you can see where they have been throwing saw blades into the walls. Seeing all the old equipment was really cool. This place is huge, we even climbed into the dome on the top and eventually on top of it to get a view of the city. This place is def. one of my favorites. Hope ya enjoy! Peace

They had another brewery a couple blocks away(I believe it's in the db) that was just as big or bigger. But when we checked it out, it turns out that they are renovating it for condos(damn condos, seems they are taking all our abandoned buildings). If you ever make it this way though it shouldn't be hard to find this place. IT's a real treat. Peace

...the wings on my shoes shrank now the moths won't eat my kidneys, when i shake my state capital it only yields 3 fairy napkins, but how do i know my banana slippers are like water boats because when the moon winks it burns my hamster punches, and that's how you get to llama school rowing your canoe backwards up main street when the front bumper falls off, do mermaids get to drink orange juice? |

| | | Agreed, there's no such thing as too many *cool* pictures. I want to see the video of someone taking a trip down the conveyor. I'd think a piece of cardboard to sit on, and some pillows at the end, ought to do the trick. But I'll let someone else try it first.

| | | this place is awesome I did it a few years ago when I went to NO on a UE trip. my pictures still might be in the archives if you search. i'm nota photographer though, mine are just snapshots. giant place though, tons of cool stuff. If you get caught in there you will be arrested though because the owners are trying to restore it and they are investing millions into it, at least they were a few years ago when I went, i'm not sure if they gave up on the place or not.

| | | Yeah this place was awesome, one of my favorites, besides the N.O. hospital (a.k.a. the city zoo) When we went they were trying to sell it but there was definate signs of homeless occupants. The fermenting room did smell weird, it smelt like IDK it was just weird smelling. And yes that keg looking thing is a huge bar, that opened out to the street.
