| | | hey wuz up everybody, sorry i been gone for a couple of months but i was in my first semester of law school and that was the most intense thing i have ever been involved in. but its done now and i finally have time to post the pics i have accumulated over these last three months. i have some really cool places that i think alot of people would love to see. i also was able to replace my broken camera about a month ago so hopefully some of the pics are decent. Me and my compadre have been mostly focusing our attention in and around the new orleans area, as most of you know this place is a gold mind for us individuals who are interested in going into societal blunders which we call abandoned buildings. I am really excited about these places, we were able to key in on some historical and famous hospitals, schools, brewerys, and some crazy other places. I am from new orleans but im now residing outside of the city and love the mystique of the buildings there, i guess thats what keeps me coming back. I will start posting these pics tonight im sorry if i flood the site but i promise these sites are amazing. Hope you enjoy.p.s. if anybody has any info on charity hospital a.k.a. the city zoo please share, it will be greatly appreciated.(and please, i need more info than common google facts, I have lived in the city my whole life and know all of these facts by heart). Thanks: Peace.

ahh yeah, a gold mind for abandoned buildings. after katrina N.O. lost a substantial portion of their residents and along with that they lost a great part of their economic stability. After Katrina alot of hospitals, schools, factories, and other businesses just simply did not have the people or money to keep them operational. Sorry if you do not know anything about N.O., but you have no idea about the amount of buildings N.O. has vacant. I have no clue what you were trying to get at by saying "gold mind this i gotta see" but I take alot of pride and respect in my city and if the only thing you know about N.O. is what you see on the biased news than thats like basing what you know about a hospital on the show scrubs or E.R. It just dont make sense, if you want a solid opinion on N.O. than I suggest coming here and checking the city out for your self. If you are ever in town then I would be more than willing to show you what my city has to offer.

I do know the difference between mine and mind, Im sorry I made a grammatical error but that is not a complete reflection of my capabilities in law school. I did not type this thinking some person was going to be bothered by the fact that I misspelled a word. But I see some of us have nothing else better to do with their time. And by the way I do plan on practicing P.I. law, that is where the money is at, I have no calling to be the one to fix the world, just see a opportunity to capitalize on the immense amount of maritime law cases throughout southern Louisiana.

LSU has decided to demolish about 200 homes in lower Mid-City to build a new hospital instead of utilizing the old Charity building, which is ridiculous considering the current housing crisis. http://www.2theadv...news/26901079.html An alternative plan calls for using the Lindy Boggs site, which would not call for the demolition of any homes or businesses, but the city has stated it will not support that plan. I haven't heard any plan so far for the current Charity building. I haven't gotten to check it out since I've been down there, nor have I found anyone that's gotten in, but it's in my top three for when I get back. It's not looking like they'll be doing much with it any time soon.

| | | Ok, I'll admit that I figured this was just going to be another n00b, all blow and no go, soon to be an addition to the UER Hall of (in)Fame(y). But you weren't just blowing smoke. Your pix are teh awesome. I am humbled. I haven't explored that many places in my dreams. I still have to say, though, that I have a sneaking suspicion that "first semester of law school" is code for "I just spent three months as a guest of the NOPD, and found out where all the best abandonments are!"
