'Years'

Days are short now, about six hours of light now, and even that depends; today it did rain as it have who knows how long already, so whole day was really dark. I almost choose to stay home, but then I did get on the road anyway. By the weekend I did get idea to go check abandoned farmhouse that I have photographed just once or twice - there could be lot of photos still hiding. And I am happy that I did.

No way!

Actually it was (again) situation that hdr was best way to get what I want; weather was really dark, and inside even darker, so there was no other way to get rid of over/under exposures between light and shadow.

And thanks for comments, again.

I hope you never get over HDR. Decline is beautiful.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

Thanks for sharing Wolfheart, great set.
"Hiding" looks a bit grainy in my opinion. Windy, overcompressed or deliberate preprocessing?
I just love "View", looks kind of eerie (for the record thats positive in my book).
"Flowers to the past - another angle" is another favorite, love the colors.

I think that part of first ones grain is from 'afterprosessing' (I've been lately get so in love with grain...), and other part from weather.

And once again: thanks to all who have commented so far - nice to hear if my photos work (and even if they don't work) - that keeps me going, buying cheap fuel (about 5,7 dollars per gallon today) to my always breaking car - so you can imagine that money is bit of problem to unemployed like me (and I must get my beers too)! But as I said, or wrote actually, this feedback keeps me going. And photographing. And those places itself. So at least 30 percent of my strength comes from here.

...unemployed like me

Wind ruins too many of my HDR-experiments. That damn grass and leaves moves way too much here on the windy coast. Do you use some kind of anti-ghosting (i think that is the correct term) to compensate?

Unemployed? Ever considered taking some of your photos to a publisher? If UE-photos is half as popular in Finland as in Sweden they might be interested to be honest.

Sometimes, not usually. I think that movement gives sometimes nice mood, but it depends. Sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't.

Yeah, Finland has died, or at least this town has died what comes to work. And thanks for your support. I've actually dreamed about book, but don't tell anyone - they gonna think that I am even bigger idiot!

Must say that theres NOTHING concrete yet, I've been just collectin (these) photos.

Please dont stop doing the HDR....it gives me something to aspire to :p

Don't worry - I have become HDR addict so I think I won't get rid of it (and there's no need to - it is perfect tool for some conditions)...

i like the antique effect. #2 is sepia done right. favorites are 'years' and 'years 2', they are hauntingly beautiful. 'behind the other sauna' might be overdoing it a bit with the HDR, though.

reckless thoughts abide; anachronistic and impulsive.
