Number 1 and 2 are kind of 'normal' shots you typically see. I am sure the cat was not going to just sit there and let you play around with angles, but a different angle might have made it more interesting. I am in love with #4....good job. Makes me feel like I'm peeking through a locked door.

Hey folks, thanks for the support and encouragement. It feels good to know that there are people out there who can share the pleasure I get from photographs.

Ahem... That being said and this being a "photo critique" forum, what I was hoping for was more along the lines of what I have done/might/should/could do, with the visual elements, subject matter, composition, use of depth of field/selective focus, lighting, etc. Thanks again, Tom

I have to agree with you on the first two regarding their "dime-a-dozen" nature. The reasons I included them were; Photo one... I felt that this shot, was an attempt, in it's apparent simplicity, to evoke the larger elements of our culture, philosophy, etc. (Is that too pretentious?) Photo two... Was one of my first attempts at an HDR-like use of lighting.

"The cat shot" was a very spontaneous one and I felt that the various textures and tonality (not to mention Cat-titude!) carried the mood of the autumn day.
