Did you sharpen these up?

The last one is nice, and so is the first one. I feel like the ones in between are too sharp and abstract to see what's going on. They are quite cool though.

Actually, I think that its Flickr's resizing that give that oversharpened look. I just put slightly bigger pictures in order to avoid that effect. Anyway, thanks for your comment !

I feel like you've went overboard with the sharpening. Can you repost the last one sans sharpening?

No Smoking - Diesel?!?

Diesel isn't flammable by dropping a cigarette in it! It's bloody hard to get going with a lighter, even.

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

I like 6, but most of these are texture studies-fun to take and interesting to look at, yet lacking personality and layers of depth. Apart from that, good execution and subject selection.

The fifth and seventh are great shots, the kind of stuff I overlook 95% of the time when I'm exploring. Good eye.

I think the fifth shot is amazing. The colors look great and I think the sharpness looks really good.
