| | Greetings from Iowa, my re-introduction, and some questoins < on 11/23/2008 2:45 PM >
| | | I totally forgot I had an account here. I was going through and deleting my spam when I came across the registration for this page. I have been interested in exploring places all my life. I just wanted to re-introduce myself again because I felt it was proper. I'm from Iowa as the title says. I started a yahoo group trying to find people in my area, but then I found this place. I'm interested mainly in drains. Unfortunately, I don't have many contacts in the "underground" society/cultures in my area, so I don't know of many hidden areas around here, although I did hear of possible catacombs under my city from a friend of mine who knows some criminals, he says sometimes some of them go down there until the shit blows over. No one I know knows any locations for entrance though. Now for my questions. 1) How does a person learn about sewers and drains, and all about how they operate, and stuff like that? I mean city workers and plumbers know about them. Is there any books that teach plumbers or city workers about that stuff? I know there are a lot of drainers and uers out there who know a lot, but where did THEY learn? What I'm talking about is proper names for components of drains such as proper names for different types of pipes, features, devices, etc. 2) To avoid disrespecting other drainers and uers who have a certain codename, how do you know which names have been taken, so you don't use someone else's? And then what do you do if you've used a codename for a long time, and then find out someone else has the same name? I realize this question is really dumb, but I've wondered this for years, and not just for ue. Thanks and awesome site!
"From down here, we can knock the whole wall down!" "Duh, yeah, boss, but how do we get out?" Geeks like science fiction and technology. Programmers make things the geeks like. Hackers do for fun the things the programmers get paid for. |

| | | 2.) You just add a few extra digits to your name to make it really unique, or your birth year! I doubt you can create an account with the same name anyways, but if you want to see what people have similar names, play around with the user search option.
