Sorry Officer, we were just looking for our favorite tennis ball we lost.

| | | So Chumpster and I set out Saturday night to climb a water tower. Upon arriving at the abandoned tower, not everyone was on board. We decided not to give up, and saw a giant net in the distance and started hiking towards it. Soon enough we found ourselves smack dab at the end of a driving range. 1. A rusted attachment to collect golfballs. I attempted some light painting- sort of.
As we poked around the range a bit more, we found what seems to be a giant storage yard for construction equipment. 2.
Ok so I was just wondering what you guys think? Also I shot these on a Rebel XT (P setting) with auto WB on and all my pics looked like;
They all were really orange! I was wondering if I could hear some suggestions for shooting at night (maybe from some XT shooters also). I should probably shoot M next time. Do any of you get really orange pictures when you shoot at night? Also when it's dark out how do you focus well? thanks.

| | | never use auto white balance, on these ones i would have used the tungsten setting to cut down the orange glow

you can do that with auto focus too just shine the light on one of the focus points and turn it off before you take the picture

| | | Good tips on the white balance. Also, if you shoot in RAW format you can just change the white balance when you load the pictures on the computer, using Photoshop or any program like that. Also, avoid the P setting. In this case, use AV mode, if that fails you may have to go manual. Set AV to F 8.0 or around there, and the exposure will set automatically.

thank you. it's a little multi color flashlight I picked up at radioshack for 15 bucks.
thanks for the tips. The flashlight ideas smart-only problem was that is my flashlight in the shot- haha. I should bring 2 next time. Next time I go I'll play with the modes, and maybe shoot some RAW's. Look for more stuff soon!
