| | | The Dragon Castle < on 10/29/2008 4:28 PM >
| | | Ok, i've been on the lookout at this one for long now. It's a very well preserved and special castle. Access to the castle was very easy, just a little fence with a sign "Forbidden Access" blocked my way. No fence on the side, just a walk around the next bush and you're in:
I could not believe what i saw. But some very strange statues on top of the castle gripped my attention.
What is this place? What was it used for? Does someone still live here or not?
More of those strange statues and stones...
The backside is the more beautiful side i think. Very nice central stairs, large windows, guard tower
And more artifacts
When i looked trough the window, i could notice that everything was still inside. Furniture, art, paintings, personal belongings, all still there. After my 3e round i had to give up, there was no way in... Oh well, i could had gotten inside, but that involved in breaking and entering. And that is a line i don't cross. And if you are curious about the abandonment... it is! On my way out i bumped into some folks who lived in the Stable House on the property. I talked my way out on the question what i was doing there and chatted a bit with them. Conclusion: they still live there to protect the castle and maintain the garden. Mowing grass, plant flowers, cut the weed... But nobody lives there anymore. The story goes that the landlord committed suicide in this castle as he was wanted for economic collaboration. To bad i did not get inside. Guess it was to good to be true. Maybe in the near future, who knows...

| | | Beautiful place beautifully captured. I wonder what it would look like in the winter, blanketed with snow. Obvious footprints would be left, though.

| | | Love the gargoyles around the place. Would be awesome to get in...you never know, maybe one day you will be able to. Could the caretakers put you into contact with whoever has the keys?
You and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, and a generation that didn't agree. |

| | | Great photos...this looks like a beautiful location. Lose the garishly overdone borders and watermarks though....they are distracting and get annoyingly repetitive after scrolling through numerous photos.

| | | Very beautiful location. Your skies are a little harsh in #3 and #6 in my opinion, mostly because there is only a small section of blue in each, and it looks really too vibrant to me.
