Wow, all of these photos are really amazing shots! I really like the blue glowing that the little building has going on. Really great job!

Some day we're gonna have to team up with radios and do the colored flash thang on a large scale while you shoot from a rooftop.

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.

Those are fantastic. I love the blue lighting in #3 AND you managed to catch a lightning bolt too. Bravo.

Thanks everyone...it was a fun night!

Barry Kooda - Absolutely! I've thought about doing that very thing with this building at Swift Meat:

Happidaze - Thanks...yeah, the key to lightning is, stop down to about f/8 or f/11 to strike a balance between the brightness of the bolt (when it happens), and to allow for longer exposures...leave the shutter open for a while and wait for the action. Pic #3 above was one of about six 2-minute exposures I made, one after the other, waiting for a bolt. Funny thing was, I didn't even notice on the LCD in the field that I actually caught the bolt...I wasn't looking at the exact instant when it struck, and didn't notice it at first.

sYnOnYx - Thanks! Which one are you using?

As with everybody else, very nice work! You always have a way to really bring out those low light and night time shots. Keep up the great work!

Nice shots Noel! I never seem to catch the lighting. Nothing like being on the roof of a 9 story building in the middle of a thunder storm!
