These are great. So emotionally disturbing, abandoned amusement parks, I have to love and hate them. The Screw Coaster is funny, too bad it isn't giving anyone pleasure anymore.

You betcha

Why did it close down, looks a bit rubbish compared to anything the mighty disney could make.

Last year in Egypt me and Mrs Crumbler went to a water park, all of the signs were in Disney font, nothing looked like disney and the name disney was nowhere to be seen but that style of writing was very noticeable.

Oh, I am so not trolling! I meant every word of what I said. I've been dreaming of what Nara Dreamland would look like since it's closure, with the intent of eventually getting down there and doing a photo essay myself, and seeing your photos (which are freaking great, give yourself some credit) totally made my day.

I've been too consumed with work in LA to contribute to the UER since I signed up not too long ago, but I plan on it. I'm really sorry if my posts came out as suspicious... and I'm really sorry if your photos got used on some other site without your permission. That just really sucks.

I did however post a link to this forum containing your photos in an online discussion group about Nara Dreamland, so if I'm in any way to blame for them being 'stolen' and used on some site without your permission, I'm just really sorry. Again, I only posted a link here because they are the only photos of their type that exist, and I thought they were totally great and that other people with similar interests would dig coming here to this site and seeing them. I wasn't aware that it wasn't cool to post a link to some photos here... but as a new member I guess I have to learn.

So... I guess this is me drinking the piss in a Ramune bottle...

Am I the only one here that is picturing the security guard in a clown face car, or an over sized, drivable rubber ducky?

Oh Noes!!! IT'S ANOTHER NOOB!!!

Great pics. The American Coaster Enthuisists did an articlce about this place during the 90's(?) when it was open. I didn't know it had closed. There should be some more pictures of the Screw Coaster, hehe, at www.rcdb.com , I haven't checked yet. rcdb stands for, roller coaster data base. They did a whole article on lost japanese parks.
later ya'll
