|  | | | Abandoned Candy factory in my city. A few shots (9 of 103 images). One of my first shots with my new Canon Rebel XTi. I jumped right into manual exposure settings and manual focus. Went into this factory a few times before, but this time i went by myself and 1 am. (Images are scaled down)

Yes, if you know where it is, I can give you a tour. I wouldn't mind networking with a few photographers in person. I've been trying to get on the damn roof but the place is a maze. I'm heading back soon, hopefully with my friend again, but even he's a little paranoid.
I'm the least paranoid person when it comes to UEing. If you are planning to go, there is Asbestos in the basement, but it's undisturbed and intact. It's all good, just a pre-caution. wear a shirt over your face like ninja-style, that's what I do, lol.

I can't entirely tell if this is said in jest, but...
You are aware that wearing a shirt over your face, ninja-style, protects you against asbestos about as well as wearing same shirt in a more orthodox manner protects you against a firing squad, yes?

My biggest concern about exploring is running into security. Personally, I couldn't care less about things like asbestos. I find that it tastes delicious.

Why are you guys so worried about security anyways? Seriously? If you have expensive gear (Camera, tripod) wear nice clothes or what not. I'm sure security will let you off with a warning, you can simply just tell them that you believe what you are doing is in the name of art and that you believe that you have done nothing wrong.

That totally worked for me ... got caught by the cops exploring a place in my city .. there were three other people there too.... they got asked a million questions while my friend and I got asked only a few... it took the less time to scan our names too!
all I did was explain I saw a hole got curious and wanted to take pics .. I got a light slap on the wrist and told to go on my way
the worst they could do I figure is give me a fine to pay..... o well
