Thanks for the heads up, Seicer. Yes, I go to gradschool in Houston. Been super busy since I got here. I live in Montrose and see most everything super sealed or demo'd or redone into condos. From what I have seen, downtown, though interesting, is extremely well sealed. While scouting a building on Alabama by HCC, I got yelled at by a plain-clothes cop for being 'white' in a 'black' neighborhood. Go figure. I'd be happy to meet y'all and explore Houston.

| | | I used to live on the north side of Houston, but now I go to school about an hour and a half from there. If anyone wants to put an effort into something, I'll show up as well. Not too much here where I'm at; the things that are around here can be accessed... socially - just by talking your way in.

Enjoy it while you can. When you're my age, they don't just call your parents. (But for the sake of all that's holy, don't they teach kids to capitalize anymore? Geez, I need to go tell someone to get off my lawn.)

| | | I used to live around there and will prolly be back around xmas, but don't know if I can get any exploring done then. I think the best bets would be to scope out the old towns around Houston(think 10-15 miles+ outside the beltway). I actually know where a shut down golf course is, but the funny thing is that with the 15 years I spent in North Houston, there isn't much I can remember being abandoned. If there was something, it's since been torn down for new development/road widening.

| | | Where are the Houston Explorers ? Right here , just recently found out what I do is urban exploring . I've been exploring since I could walk . Houston has tons of sites all over . Lots have been demo'd but there are still places waiting to be found around every corner. Some are sealed tight but I'm trained in the ways of the ninja so I get in one way or another. Here's some recent (Sat.) pics of the Central Square building off I-45 . Been in this building numerous time since I was a kid . Building is falling apart due to water damage. Crazy mold action going on inside. side

| | | Very nice location. I lived in Houston for about 7 years ago but not recently. I would love to have one of those old projectors. Used to run a set like that.

Dollars to donuts nobody on this list under 35 even knows what that thing is. (Hint: Think Jenny Craig meets June Cleaver.) I haven't seen one in person since I was a little kid. Awesome!

I just turned 30 and that would be a Belt Massager (or thats what my Grandma calls it), used to have one in her garage.

| | | Go for the 2 chocolate donuts. They taste better than the dollar and it will give you a reason to use that thing.
