Shane and all;

Given what lies beyond, GO! If there was a site like that anywhere near me, I'd sure as hell be doing whatever I could to get in.

I'm not an advocate for B&E at all, but considering the circumstances, where it's located, where said entrance is, etc... I wouldn't have a problem doing it at all, although I WOULD make sure you seal it back up again (I mean hey, you had to work your butt off to open it...so can the next guy!)

Not to mention the fact that if anyone ever does stop by to make sure it's still secure a welded shut door raises much less suspicion than a used-to-be-welded door.

From what you've said, I'd say go for it. I see no problem since you will be resealing the door.

...now come on, tell me what it is eh?

I have no idea what is beyond that door and I REALLY wanna know, get off your asses, and drive the hell over there to cut the door open. Then carefully take your time to seal it up well, then drive like a maniac back, and post pictures of it to awe me with, and descriptions to doubly awe me with.

Now that certain things have become aware to me...I must say that going for this one is definately a good idea. The fact that it's flooding slowly only makes the endevour worth it all the more. Go for it!

Yeah, I'm still considering driving out there for spring break. It would be well worth the drive for me to see *censor* in real life.

Ask whichever mod gave you the handjob star about it, the item is being discussed in a private forum.

I wish I could be there when you crack the place open. As implausible as it sounds, I expect it to get stolen now that its existence is known and being spread.

This has faded from being a question of ethics into a massive "WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS BEHIND DOOR NUMBER ONE!"

Ironically, it's a thread like this over on DSMTalk that brought me here to this UE Oasis. Please please please, can we see what is behind the door?

Curiosity aroused is a form of insanity, you know.

It's gotta be driving you guys nuts - I know - and I'm gonna make it worse.

Even though I've been in every kind of military base and missile silo in the midwest, to the top of an abandoned control tower and down some really freaking nasty holes I have to bow down before Shane and Phreex for this find.

This has got to be the most impressive find EVER - I would like to suggest OPE94 be moved to Florida... rent a couple swamp buggies and spend the week there.

Thus the implausible. Much odder things have ended up in the black market, or as someone's landscaping. Does the word "Buran" ring a bell?

Rest assured, you will ALL know, in due time. It is not being discussed in a private forum, I shared the info I have already on it, along with some pics with the moderators and a few select individuals that I trust. The only discussion that has been going on was in instant messages, and is mostly centered around planning a return trip.

"Because there's no possibility of real disaster, real risk, we're left with no chance for real salvation. Real elation. Real excitement. Joy. Discovery. Invention. The laws that keep us safe, these same laws condemn us to boredom. Without access to true chaos, we'll never have true peace. Unless everything can get worse, it won't get any better." -Chuck Palahniuk
