Built to be an ultra modern shopping center... People soon found out that it was not so nice to shop there, no natural light coming in this maze of shops soon led to the decay of the shopping center... Most shops are already abandoned since around 20 years, and you can notice it... I still remember being a very small child, going to the local "Christiaenssens" shop to buy some toys to keep me busy... Being a bit older, about 13, we used to ride our bikes throug the euroshopping hallways, only two or three shops were open at that time, including a local radio station... Being around 16 it was the perfect place to smoke a joint and drink some beer when we had lunchbreak at school, quite close by... We must have smoked like half a kilo there in total... Sometimes we didn't even return to school because we were too wasted... Now, completely dark with almost no natural light coming in, very very moist... The snookerclub was the most disgusting place I saw in my life... Fungus everywhere, smell everywhere... But lovely decay as I like it... Inside you can even find an extremely old cinema, which must have been closed for at least twenty years, everything is gone but the atmosphere remains... Funny to see they had toilets in front of the cinema... So when you where watching a movie and you had to take a crap the whole cinema was quite aware of this Again, an ode to what some people call city cancers... For me this is pure nostalgia! Please enjoy... If you want to visit this, please hurry up as demolition will start very very soon...
