|  | | | This is my first photo set for critique so let me know what you think I can do to improve. These photos were shot with a pentax SPIIa with fuji superia reala 100 for color and ilford XP2 color negative for B and W. I apologize ahead of time for the poor scan/resize job (my copy of photoshop hasn't come in yet), some of the images are a little crooked and blurry. OK don't hold back.

| | | | ok here it goes. you asked for advice, and im gunna give it to you, so please dont complain. im not trying to be a dick, im just being real.
1) is out of focus, comp is way off. way under exposed. i really have no idea what you subject is.
2) focusing is alot better in this shot. but your comp is off. it seems as your shot is the water fountain, which is good. but if your going to include the windows, dont include half windows. frame it at a whole window.
i was going to crop and edit but you made the res so small that i cant. pm me if you want me to give you an example
3) good exposure, but again your focus is way off man, if you gunna do a d.o.f shot, the first knob or whatever it is shouldnt be out of focus. its extremely distracting, and everything in the shot should not be cut off. if your putting it in the shot, put all of it in the shot.
4) i like this shot. the best i think.
comp is a tad bit off, and its a tiny bit out of focus but other than that its good
5) one of the better shots of the set.
but your comp is off. again if your going to include the top windows. you can cut them off. they should ALL be in there.
and your exposure should of been a bit longer. notice how the heat coils are a little dark.
6) good idea. but again. if your subject is the clock. get the whole clock. this one seems a little over exposed.
7) the piano/organ/or whatever, is extremely distracting, if thats your subject it should not be out of focus. and again it should be in the shot completely.
8) once again not sure what you subject is. someone shouldnt have to guess what it is. but in this shot your exposure is much better, besides the blown out window.
once again you asked for advice im not trying to be harsh/ or an ass. im giving you good advice. most people on this forum dont do that. they just say i dont like it, or i like it, which doesnt help you. if you have any questions feel free to pm me. and if you want send me a few of the pics so i can crop/ edit. to show you what im talking about.
