|  | | | When out in the middle of nowhere, things tend to jump out and surprise you. Just when you think there's nothing but vast empty land around you, out pops from a knoll or grove of trees signs of life. Sometimes it's a deer, sometimes it tractor, and sometimes its a remote and peaceful ghost farm.

When I entered, I heard activity upstairs. I knocked three times, and said "hello?" thinking it was some kids. There was a knock knock knock on the floor in response. When I reached the attic, whatever had been there was gone without a trace.

That's me frustrated by a fallen tree in the road. A four-inch trunk doesn't look like much, but with all the limbs intact on the end, it was cumbersome to move. I thought I had to back track a long way.
By the way, these photos are not from just one location. They're spread out through various counties.
