I'm not the best with a camera, but I'm pretty damn good with a video camcorder. Would taking a video of my adventures be the most boring thing ever, or would it be just as good as pictures?

I'm trying to figure our whether or not to bring the camcorder, because it is very heavy. I can't imagine that it would be very spectacular, but that might just be me. What do ya think?

I use the VX2100

And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive?

vids are great, its all about what the subject is really...

....that and will it slow u down too much should a speedy exit be required?

videos can really put you in the eye of the beholder and can give greater depth to viewing a location.

my upcoming ue would be the first time for me to try the recording of the adventure, and it is in a small ghost town in texas. I think this would be a good place to start because the possibility of getting caught is relatively zero.

"videos can really put you in the eye of the beholder and can give greater depth to viewing a location."

maybe i should shoot the whole thing. me getting in, wondering around, and making my exit, so that i can get the whole story out there...

is there a place to post video on here or would i need to post a link to a video hosting site?

could be cool

I think video is great, there are a couple members on here, one specific that has a blog of all his adventures, and has great videos on his blog. Love watching them every time. So go for it!

I've made a few shitty videos in the past. I like to do them after I've been to a location a few times and am not finding new things to photograph. (

That High School Video is really good.

My wife brought her video camera one time. I think the important thing to do is keep moving around and explore the dimensions of the area, rather than going slowly and focusing on things. Walk down the street aiming straight ahead, aiming to the side, go through a house looking straight ahead, etc.

yeah, that's true. I'll take pictures for my own personal journal, but I don't wanna get flamed on here for putting up something that everyone will hate.

Super 8 cameras can produce an edgy look that would be good for UE vids. Not as convenient as digital obviously but something to think about if you're interested in a project.
