New Zealand's Industrial Heritage
by Geoffrey G. Thornton
ISBN: 0-589-01408-0

Cottages of New Zealand
by Malcolm Somerville
ISBN: 1-86958-817-7

These two books are absolute treasure troves full of locations that need exploring in New Zealand. The first one is better. The buildings in the first book are all industrial, where the second book is mostly very old abandoned houses. I know that exploring houses can be controversial, but the houses listed in that book are definitely all old enough to be explored in good conscience.

Oh controversial from a moral perspective, I'd have just said cos they're dull.

Agreed. But really old houses can be interesting.
