I'm in a hotel....

So, here I am, I'm an actual customer of the place, and I'm just wondering. I've walked up and down the floors, and I've seen lots of Mechanical rooms, Electronic rooms, and storage rooms, most of them open. NONE of them say "Employees Only" or "Stay Out" or anything like that. Could I use this as an excuse if I'm caught, or would it sound too cocky? This is my only place to sleep tonight, and I really don't want to sleep in the truck.

those excuse's most likely won't work, and hotel staff will become suspect of you and your snooping around. you'd be better off to either use some "female charm" or just play dumb and innocent, say your looking for the pool or ice machine.

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!

say you just stumbled in....?

i doubt they'd kick a paying customer out just because you wandered into a room. Seriously, if you were an employee, or even a manager, you would just tell this wanderer that guests are not allowed back here and escort them to the hall.

correct? or am I wrong?

See how far you can get social engineering before you show them your room key. Hotels make great practice when you're a paying customer because at the end of the day you're paying for a room.

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.

Simply tell them you're looking for a good place to hide the body of the hooker you killed earlier.

Don't even bother lying. Just tell them you're looking around. I've caught people in the kitchen of the hotel where I work, and I just showed them out, and didn't even bother charging them for the cookies they'd stolen.

I work for a pretty small hotel, though. If the hotel is staffed by a security guard, s/he might get a little more uptight, but the "just looking around" excuse should work with them as well.

The general rule I use is: If you're not causing me to do extra work, I will not give you a hard time. I think this is true of most wage slaves.

Last time I stayed in a hotel, we went up to the roof and found the owner's dog had free run of the place so we played with him a bit and drank. The owner even joined us for a bit.

Why would anyone have a problem with people snooping around in a hotel, as long as they're not breaking into occupied rooms?

Use smiles and charm. Be polite. Say you were looking around (maybe for a phone?) whatever excuse you use, make it short and simple.

Just say you were looking for a shortcut to your car or that some lady gave you directions to get to x. Keep your room key on you because If you are caught you will be asked what room you are stying in. I highly doubt they would kick a paying customer out for looking around. If you get caught just over apologize and ask to be shown how to get back to your car/room before they even mention it.
