i was gonna get these up earlier, but was busy during lunch. so here they are, pics from my second trip. i went to the SE end where the toll plaza used to be. on the way back down i found an old maintainence road that runs through a concrete box under the highway (ive been over that section of road dozens of times and never knew it was there).

While you're making me wish to high heaven that I'd never left Tulsa, why don't you post a picture of a Coney I-Lander store, just to add insult to injury. You heartless bastard.

There's one about half a mile up the road from the blue whale on the east side of the road in that shopping center. I can think of about 10 more in Tulsa too.

You might take another look... a quick Googling brought up a Wikipedia page (of course) titled List of unused highways in California. Also, here's a pic of an abandoned ramp in San Francisco. Though those all seem to be just ghost ramps -- not awesome mile-long stretches of asphalt.

CaJuN, you should definitely try a Coney I-Lander while you're in Tulsa. You won't be disappointed.
