I still bring an Olympus FE-100 with me when I go exploring incase I want to take a picture in an area where I'm worried something could happen if I took my DSLR out of the bag (e.g. an old, swamped out, dripping tunnel).

I had an FE-120... my dad has it now, it was an alright camera, i just wasnt happy that it didnt have manual settings....

I use a canon powershot a630... i love it!!! perfect camera for UE, it has a swivel screen and takes 4AA batteries, i hate battery packs because sometimes your batteries die and i try to always carry extras for flashlights

definitely an HP R717 I've never had a problem with it

With each whisper a thousand waves, I hear a roar... I'm coming home

Personally, I prefer Nikon and Olympus. They've made some good cameras in the past. I'm thinking about buying the model on the first post.

go for it its a great camera!

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!

I vouch for this statement.

this camera also has a built-in very bright LED for super macro shots, which also can be used separately as a sourse of light or flashlight!

I'll be honest... the flash on it sucks. I can't get anything more than 7 feet away to illuminate right. Deff. look into a slave flash (or multiple) if you want better dark shots. Other than that it's perfect (could use some time exposures, but oh well)

ya... but usually the flash destroys the beauty of a picture anyway... if your going all out then you might as well bring the ol' SLR or try using a powerful flash light instead of the built in flash. try experimenting with external light, im sure you'll come up with some un-expected results and and in not time you'll be like wow the flash on most cameras sucks!

yea, I agree, flashes on cameras do suck, but this one is horrible. I'm no photographer... I usually just like to document stuff, but for shooting people walking around and enjoying themselves, this is horrible. I can't wait to try it down a drain, and see the flash only go 9 feet or so. Oh well. I'll have everyone point their flashlights lol.
