That's the kind of site I visit the most in Korea. I'm impressed you were able to get pictures of the workers. Also, the homes across the street in 4 look much more North American than I was expecting.

In china
some people like western style(i mean ,the home structures)
with the development of people's living condition
they would like to try different style
and this condition it's totally different between China's different areas
you know ,when i took pics ,i got a little bit worry about the workman ^^^
anyway they are kind enough ^^^^
(Korea and China all belongs to Asia ,that's why they have a lots of
common

Nice photos. `But what exactly was wrong with the old houses? One of them looks like a prison thats true. But the pink walled oe looks like a palace. So called progress, getting rid of all those nice old buildings eh? Idiots. Its happened in england, especially where I live. Theres one or two left, but the new ones are characterless and the town just becomes like any other and not worth visiting.

It's mainly so they can be replaced by highrises so the city's population density can be increased, meaning that each square kilometer of land will be generating more revenue. Basically it comes down to using less land for more people.

Well, at least that's how it works over here and I doubt it's any different in China.
