| | Paper Mill, Louisiana < on 4/19/2008 3:44 AM >
| | | Another expedition with my infamous buddy, this find was totally by accident, we were actually looking for a rice mill (which turned out to be bunk). We have absolutely no idea what year this place opened or closed but from the look of things it was pretty old. The inside was heavily vandalized due to local population and all equipment was taken out the only thing left was the smoke stack and a really cool infrastructure. Peace hope ya enjoy. A cool smoke stack that looked like an animal crawled up it. Front shot of the building: Paper Mill Inside of first floor popular hangout for local youths Looked like some sort of furnace Let there be light Going up... The upstairs was beautiful it overlooked the river Enough Said! These beams were massive The entrance We tried to climb the ladder but it was way too unsafe Going underneath the paper mill, entering the basement? Who says miracles can't happen ueing.

Zombies are suppose to be slow. The movies where they're fast is all bullshit. I guarantee if you see a zombie it will be moving slow.

I completely agree. The guys in Shawn Of The Dead said there were specific rules zombies had to follow in order to be considered zombies and the first was that they must lumber along slowly.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

That, and The Zombie Survival Guide (and the follow-on, World War Z), are awesome. I used the Survival Guide as "homework" to get my 11-year-old son to quit spending all his time playing video games. I'm not worried about *him* if the zombies attack.

If I could only have two horror movies it would be that one and Evil Dead II.

I love THAT movie, too!!
I think I've seen almost every zombie movie out there. I'm a big Evil Dead fan, but I agree that II is the best.

I'm still searching for a widescreen DVD of "Galaxy Of Terror". Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian) is the ship's cook/ supreme being, Erin Morin's (Joanie Cunningham from Happy Days) head gets squashed like a watermelon and the spaceship's named the Hesperus....Classic!

I guess it's not either of the ones that shows up on Netflix -- there are two discs, with four shorts between them, and a typical review is "A five year old with a camcorder has done a better job."

Nah, This is a low budget (were there any other kinds?) Roger Corman movie. It's showing up as an import public domain video and ocasionally pops up in wide screen DVD.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

| | | Good thing this subject came up, because my Netflix queue was down below 300. Also added, based on the "you might like this too" feature: "Dead and Breakfast", about a B&B where the cook doesn't make it through the night and the townsfolks' appetites suddenly change. And "Undead Or Alive", a Western Zombie Comedy. Never heard of *any* of them, but my daughter especially likes zombie flicks.

| | | I just picked up "Mars Needs Women" and a double feature of "Giant Gilla Monster" and "Killer Shrews". I love Texas made B movies. So what's all this have to do with a Louisiana paper mill? I'll tell ya......... HMMmm... Looks like we Southerners dun drifted off topic again. We should start a "Six Degrees Of Zombie Movies" thread. Oh wait! That's ALL our threads.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |
