| | | This is me and my buddy's first post so be gentle, it is a lot of hard work in the making, we have been exploring abandoned places for quite some time now and just been stockpiling these photos and then I stumbled onto this site. This is a abandoned theater in western Louisiana. It proved very difficult to access but where there is a will there is a way!
Franks Theater
Freaky alley on side
A weird set of doors in the back of the alley
The screen is in surprisingly good condition
Lower level seats (notice the padding on the seats and the quality of these seats compared to the seats in the colored only seating in the top balcony)
Going upstairs to the balcony
These seats were literally 3 feet away from a toilet in the middle of the balcony
Anybody wants to wash their hands!
All the original movie projectors, I thought this was unbelievable that this stuff was still in there
Notice how well this stuff is preserved
These light fixtures were throughout the whole building
View from the balcony
Wonder how bad the heater in the middle of the balcony sucked to sit next to
Tons of original movie posters probably priceless!
  Cheap!
We have no clue why this mint condition doctor tool was in the ticket booth
If anybody knows how to operate this cash register should not be on this site.
A match striker in the bathroom
 Down stairs bathroom
I have been in a ton of abandoned places but finding this topped the cake, I cannot explain what this thing smelled like, it was absolutely horrible
Maybe they left in a rush?
 Blank Checks
Going behind the screen
The old speaker system for the theatre

| | | Very cool post! I agree that the stuff in there is amazing although the head kinds spooks me out a little... especially in a place known for voodoo.

| | | That is not a cash register, it's an old fashioned ticket banger.

Looks like a perfectly good otoscope. That's a really odd find.

| | | Great find!! Thanks for the shots. Like BK said, old theaters are my some of my favorite places. Used to work in one with similar projectors. Carbon Arc.
