| | | Does anybody know if there are different rules/regulations/enforcement guidelines for an area that is classified as a Port? There are some locations I would like to take a look at along the Hudson river, but I want to make sure I go into things with a knowledge of possible ramifications. I get the impression that penalties might be higher in the port simply because of the more stringent post-9/11 anti-terrorism regulations being applied. An example of what makes me act this paranoid, when I was trying to pull up the locations on GoogleMaps it proved difficult because they could only be pulled up in a lower resolution, but areas surrounding and adjoining the port are in clear focus. Anybody have information or experiences with this? [last edit 4/3/2008 1:19 AM by FourgoneConclusion - edited 1 times]
'Minimal collateral damage' and 'Entire star system' do not belong in the same sentence. |

| | | Ive been looking around the Port of Houston lately and it aint gonna be easy. Security is very high there due to the petro chemical industry and proximity to a bunch of millions of people. MARSEC Levels are posted at many points of entry and theyve fenced off most of the ship channel from land access there. Small craft and non commercial vessels are banned too so the kayak is a no-go. http://www.uscg.mi...s/whatismarsec.asp Im sure someone will contradict this post citing some seaport as being wide open and you can simply walk on any ship of foreign registry at will. In Houston at least, it aint that easy or it woulda been done.
