This article rocks!!! It contradicts its self in its self...
1. Avoid breaking local laws. Trespassing is illegal in many countries and jurisdictions

Then later in the article we come to:
Walk the perimeter. What are the possible entrances (or exits, if there is a need to escape)? Windows, unlocked doors, doors that can be opened by force (note laws), rooftops, tunnels, and holes are all possible entry points into abandoned buildings.

You'd think the caretaker would let you in.... Interesting though....

Edit: Fixed the it's its mistake

They're just trying to accurately represent the hobby.

Also, please learn the possessive case of [its]. There is no apostrophe. I know this may be difficult for a native Welsh speaker, but we should all have a responsibility to communicate in a credible manner.

Not bad. It was pretty dumb to include screwdrivers and a multitool as "things you'll need" though. Depending on the circumstances, getting caught with that sort of stuff on you could result in some pretty serious charges.

You should know by now that that is the typical state of mind of an explorer. Contradicting logic and ethics to suit immediate desires.

mutantMandias may cause dizziness, sexual nightmares, and sleep crime. ++++ mutantMandias has to return some videotapes ++++ Do not taunt mutantMandias

mutantMandias is something more than human, more than a computer. mutantMandias is a murderously intelligent, sensually self-programmed, non-being

You've all made some good points. It is a Wiki after all so feel free to add your expertise. I've never edited it or seen it before today, though.

Hmmm...why would you need to escape?

Pyromaniac hobos!!!

But seriously - wikihow? *rolls eyes* That being said, I love this forum. Where else can we all just get along and share our crazy dream of exploring things. I was reminded in class today that no, exploring buildings is NOT that cool to most people (someone asked what I was looking at after I wrote my paper). I explained, I like to explore buildings - abandoned buildings...and she just nodded and went back to writing her paper. Oh well

From the Wiki-how: "If you have to "squeeze" in somewhere, consider whether you will be able to squeeze-out later."

You know, for when you visit the abandoned twinkie factory. Mmmmm....

i like this one: "As said before, don't explore catacombs unless you are sure it will be fine."

do we ever know an exploration will "be fine?" haha

these steps seem a bit out of order too. i think finding a site comes before avoiding breaking laws. haha.

"Clothes that don't make lots of noise are also preferable." i should probably not wear my screaming orange pants then. haha. ok bad joke...

and i like how they say to 'leave it how you found it', but bring a metal detector to find treasure. a metal detector could make you look suspicious and those 2 statements are contradicting. haha.

that was pretty entertaining. somebody outta edit it...

[EDIT: grammar. too lazy this morning to type correct sentences...]
