Little help in Dallas?

I have been exploring the Trinity river, the surrounding woods, and abandoned warehouses for a little over a year now. In about a 4 mile stretch, I know them like the back of my hand. As of now, I have always gone out alone. I guess what I am needing is some like minded explorers, because lets face it, you shouldnt go into these abandoned, decaying buildings without a buddy. I have explored them, but not to the extent I would like due to the fact that I just dont feel safe on my own.
That being said, let me tell you a little about me and my style of exploring, and as I am sure most of you are like minded, I feel that this needs to be said, so please dont get your feelings hurt or fly off the handle if I strike a nerve. I dont, smoke, drink, make loud noises when possible, disrespect the homeless, or leave graffiti of any kind. Yes I will break the law by trespassing, but I will not leave my signature, so no tagging. In the respectful rules, I take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints, and even that is questionary at times. And when I say, I do respect the homeless, and their space, I am prepared to protect myself if necessary. I do come across them in the weirdest of places so that shouldnt bother you.
Also, if anyone knows of or has been in the Dallas HighSchool off the Dart rail, please let me know. I have always wanted to go in there, but never had the chance.
If you are interested, please feel free to let me know. I know of some amazing places out there, and would be happy to share them. Thanks

There are a lot of drains in Dallas that I've been wanting to check out, the only thing keeping me from doing it is that I don't really know anybody from that area

I pass by that school every couple of days and it bothers me that i havent been in there yet im hoping to remedy that soon.
I take only pictures and leave only foot prints that being said i try to take every good pictures so i can use them for my portfolio.
If any of you guys are going to the meet n' greet this Saturday or sometime in the near future maybe we can meet and get to know a little about each other before we go exploring.
Who knows maybe we can get a group together to do this sort of thing.

Is there a place on the forum where I can find info on the meet and greats after this upcoming one? I am in Costa Rica for a couple more weeks

We'll be discussing it in the meetup thread, and any suggestions would be welcome!

puravida-

On the left of the page you're look'n at, just click the events link, then look for and click "dee-eff-dub-meet-n-greet."

The latest plans should be there. But give it a couple of weeks after each event for the new one to appear.

You're lucky! The DFW M-n-Gs have really picked up in the last six months or so. Previously they were only quarterly or so I think, but we've been pretty good about having them monthly now.

I gotta say, even though I haven't had the chance to explore much lately, I've really enjoyed the meetings.

you can hit me up on my myspace by clicking on my picture. we can go sometime. i haven't done much in the dallas city limits, so I'm all for it.

And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive?
