Austin, TX anyone?

I am coming to Austin next weekend to visit my aunt on her business trip. I would be down for meeting any fellow explorers if anyone is available to meet or make suggestions of quick things to do in Austin.

Thanks
Alexis

I am in Austin. I have a couple of places that are more interesting to me than maybe others.
There is a huge art deco power plant, but I hear security is really good.

I am up for a quick exploration or even just coffee. It would just be nice to meet some new folks.

I'm in austin and would be down for this. There's also a really great tunnel right downtown we could do.

I might be interested. I have a lot of free time until I get a new job. I just drove around yesterday and it seems like the few abandonments Austin has are all in a state of rapid change. Tunnels are almost always there to explore though.

Ok, so when specifically are you going to be coming into town? The director of operations of the State School told me that he would allow us to come on Monday or Tuesday... I don't know if that's negotiable but he is pretty much giving permission.

Unfortunately I am here tonight and tomorrow and back to Denver on Monday. I am visiting my aunt, she had a business conference here all week. We are staying on 6th St. We are just hanging out (no car) so we are limited to where we can go. But... I may not have time to explore something, but would be up for catching a drink if anyone is interested?

For those interested, there is a memorial day meet/camp/explore in CO and if anyone winds up coming, Id be happy to take care of you.

Dang....I got to SA by 11pm Friday night, and i was out of the city by 12am. All i was doing was picking up a cousin who was involved in a sour relationship and decided to come home. I was back in Cali by Sunday 3am.

I'll be visiting Austin from April 9-13 for a conference for work. I should be free one evening if someone wants to meet up -- either to explore or just to talk, whichever.

i know that there is a place that graffiti artist call "the ruins" not really sure what it used to be, but i've seen some pictures that make it look really interesting. a lot of old, discarded objects surrounded by falling walls.

couldn't tell you exactly where it's at, but austin is a pretty cool place and you might be able to just ask someone on the street if they've ever heard of it.

p.s. if you do find out where it is, could you send me something. i've always wanted to go and check it out.

And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive?

I live in Austin. I'd like to check out the old power plant by the lake. It's an art deco now? Last I heard, they were going to take it down...

The ruins... That sounds like an interesting place too. I'd like to check it out.
