| | | Decided to follow some railroad tracks to see where they lead, and discovered an abandoned rail car I didn't know about. It was a rainy day. Comments and suggestions welcome. 01

| | | Nice closeups, is that your "thing?" I must say that 03 is the best shot. [last edit 2/18/2008 4:45 AM by bitf - edited 1 times]

Thanks! Macro shots aren't necessarily my "thing," I'm just a sucker for close-ups of rusty knobs and bolts and what-have-you.

| | | #1: is really neat. I like the yellow, orange brown combo. Good composition, I'm glad you didn't center it, because those are so damn boring. #2: dull, washed out and blown out, the majority of the picture is blurry and the focus point does not distract from that. #3: The top knob really dominates in size, which blows for me because it is so blurry. Cropping that out or just trimming it down so it doesn't take up scuh a large percentage of the picture would be good. #4: Does nothing for me. #5: I like the dull blue/red combo, but the blue is totally overwhelming, which isn't that great because most everything in the blue is blurry beyond recognition. You might consider trimming it down a little bit, or bringing up the brightness of the red to make it more pronounced. Overall, I'd say good work.

Yeah, I suspected 02 had too much blurriness going on, and I like 04 less and less the more I look at it. Here's some of the alterations I made to 03 and 05. Let me know what you think: 03 - altered
05 - altered
Thanks for the encouraging words.

Looks really good! I'm glad you were able to keep the top of the panel of the first knob in (03) and still crop out the other blurry knob.
