Origato's posts are always very long intricate stories. Nothing wrong with that tho

Yeah sorry dude. I did journalism in high school and write stuff for the local newspaper when they're willing to pay me. I'm a bit of a word smith, specialising in down to earth and the every day extraordinary experiences. I like to write. It is also how I cope with the absaloute boredom of living in Broken Hill.

That's my idea of a good security guard.

I just remembered a hilarious security guard story from one of my friends. After I was promoted I got my friend a job working security in a downtown skyscraper. They used to do hourly patrols of each floor, starting on the first and working their way up. Then one day my friend said "Why do we start on the bottom and climb up? Why don't we just start at the top and go down?" The site supervisor looked at him in shock and said "Good idea."

That's funny! One of the wing nuts that was removed from my site excelled at being an idiot! The best one was when he called me at my home and freaked out on me because he wasn't told of a move being done by one of our tenants and he was made a fool out of. I went in the next day and found an email from our manager telling of the move (the email came in about 4 minutes after I left).

I printed it out, circled the message and date/time received and in red pen wrote "Did you read this? We'll discuss this on Friday" (The guy's next shift was a Friday midnight). When I saw him, I gave him a proper blasting.

Needless to say, that was the last time I ever heard that idiot's voice on my phone again. However, it was not the last time I had to apologize to our clients for that idiot's stupidity. It was a real blessing when that idiot left the site.

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.

I've had an experience with a security guard in a non-ue setting.

Last summer, me and a few friends were filming in a industrial parking lot at 7pm. We were filming people doing stunts with motorbike.

A guard drove by and came to us. If I was that guard, I would have been afraid, we were about 15 adults in a isolated parking lot in the industrial district. Anyway so he ask what we're doing, we tell him we're filming stunts.

He ended up asking if we bother if he watch it because he own a bike too and like this kind of stuff. He said as long as we don't leave tire mark on the pavement it's fine.

Two pictures from the event

i had an experience with the company i work(ed) for this past monday. they went out of business, everyones paycheck bounced. im out of a job.

swat security
9318 e colonial drive
suite a-15
orlando, fl 32817

owners name is angel rodriguez
[email protected]

personal cell 321-217-5002

Also I would like to share the email I sent to him and a high ranking officer in the company. Cypress Fairway is the client I worked for under SWAT security.

Angel,

I don't believe I ever singed any contract stating I would agree to being paid minimum wage if I was fired or quit without giving notice. If you have said contract signed by me, I would like to see it.

As of right now, you owe me 88hrs straight time plus 40 straight plus 8 over time. That is a gross amount of 1540.00. I worked for you in good faith, even after the many times my paycheck wouldn't clear at the bank and was often late, sometimes as long as an extra week or more.

In case you are not aware or maybe you don't even care, Steve Jackson was sitting in front of Bonnie at Cypress telling her that you/SWAT didn't have workers comp insurance. She can back that up as well as the CCTV footage. He was there on Monday at least 30 minutes before Bernd (not Bernard or Baron) and I showed up. Steve was asking me to help him and someone named Warren from a company called either Secure America or America Secure, to get the Cypress account. Bernd can also back this up, I know you like him so just ask him. Perhaps you recall the phone conversation on Monday when Steve said "yea im here, they are both sitting right in front of me". I heard you on the phone but maybe you didn't know why Steve was really there. Ask Bonnie. I told Steve that I have no say in any decisions made by the HOA and he went on his way, claiming that he didn't work for SWAT any longer.

I have no problem giving you my two shirts, I would only like to have whats owed to me. Do the right thing Angel.

p.s. you cant trespass me from Cypress or Chinatown. I know the law and have many friends at Cypress who have ALL invited me there. As far as Chinatown goes, the owner of Q-Cup, to which ive been a loyal and regular customer since August of last year, has personally invited me to his establishment. I have already spoken with Orange County at Chinatown to make them aware of the situation and have made many OPD officers who work the Cypress zone aware of whats going on. Remember, I am an invited guest at both of these locations.

That really sucks. Nothing like a good fucking over to really sweeten the day!

You can sue and get a judgement against those bastards but, will you get any money? Good luck.

P.S. Keep the shirts and whatever equipment those assholes issued to you. If they want them back, demand full wages before handing them over. I got a painter's kit from a painting company that I worked for. Seems the owner didn't like paying his employees. He demanded the equipment back and I said "Not until you pay up what you owe". He threatened to call the cops, I said go ahead. He never paid nor called. And I had the pleasure of hearing his company went tits up a month later. As luck would have it, the value of the equipment was about the same as what he owed me.

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.

Interesting, its not something I've ever seen here. Except armed guards doing pick-up/delivery.

I got pink slipped myself after I sprained my ankle about 10m away from the job site.

After working for a shitload of asshole employers, you have my sympathy. My understanding about the US is, that you cannot sue them if they have filed for bankruptcy. Have they? You should check on that ASAP.

Get on it, because once they do they have protection from lawsuits. Just file a case in small claims court, waiting for them to pay out is bad, leaving you with no options later if they file.

yeah but police are not security. Transit police here do not have guns either, but the Niagara Parks police do, if my recollection of chatting with one is right....
