god it's amazing it's survived this long without being ravaged. place looks like they packed up and left yesterday. good work documenting this.


thanks! I think one of the reasons this is preserved so very well is because it's outside of a small village that is very very very religious. There's a LOT of social control and most of the people still wear traditional costumes. Even every store / restaurant / bar / gas station is closed here on a sunday - because sunday is god's day of rest bla bla bla, so you should rest!

We were driving through town in our car honking and waving at every person in traditional costume. hehehehe. They all looked very upset and surprised but they still waved back at us - every one 'em. =)
