it was my first time scannning negatives. I think the resolution got messed up a little bit in addition the scanned negatives came out alot darker then the developed pictures i had. oh well i'm sure its a quick fix of something i did.
any tips? for scanning negatives. [besides cleaning negatives i know some are really dirty.]

when i was shooting more or less i was just trying to work on getting my lines right. did it work?

They don't suck at all. I can give some advice, but I am by no means an expert:

First off, if you're asking for a critique, you should number your photos to make it easier for would be critics to reference them.

#1 Could be cropped a lot tighter to remove all the negative space from the foreground and the right side, which is very dark and distracting. It should also be rotated to bring the lines under the window square. It's crooked right now.

#2 - right side is dark, but cropping it would screw up the lines. I would still crop from the right and bottom, though.

#5 - again with the dark edges and corners. I would crop to correct.

I like #3 and #4 the most, and I wouldn't touch them.

Very nice work.

They are good technically. It's the composition and overall look of your images-been there, done that. Look around this site...there's lots of similar looking photos here. Next time try something different. Good stuff, keep shooting.
